Acceptance
Artists selected for an exhibition will be contacted via email. In addition to an exhibition, all artists will be offered a reception and artist talk to coincide with the show. Artists are also welcomed to teach a class about their work or techniques if applicable. A stipend of $200 is offered to each artist to help with any costs associated with transportation or supplies. Transportation of artwork is the sole responsibility of the artist. The gallery is responsible for installation and deinstallation, unless the artist would like to install their own work. HCA retains the right to decide which work is included in exhibitions. Upon acceptance, selected artists grant Hutchinson Center for the Arts rights to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the gallery website for promotional purposes only.
Sales/Commissions
Work for exhibition does not have to be for sale. Sale prices are determined by the artist. 60% of sale price goes to the artist, 40% to the Hutchinson Center for the Arts. All work must be the property of the artist to be available for sale.
Insurance
Hutchinson Center for the Arts does not provide insurance for artwork though great care will be taken in handling and displaying your work. HCA recommends that artwork be insured by the artist, as the artist bears the full responsibility for loss and damage to art while in transit and on display.
