Call for Art
Below you will find opportunities to show your work at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts. Our gallery is located in downtown Hutchinson, MN and features the work of Minnesota artists in all stages of their career, from emerging to established, as well as a variety of mediums. We have different opportunities to show your work, from solo exhibitions to large community group shows. We also sell work made by artists and craftspeople year-round in our sales gallery. 2026 Exhibition Series
Apply for a solo exhibition at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts. This opportunity includes a show in our Visual Arts Exhibition Series, a reception, artist talk, and the opportunity to teach a workshop if applicable. Artists may sell work and also receive a small stipend. BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and artists with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Applications for our 2025 Exhibition Series are closed. A call for 2026 exhibitions are open April 1st - May 15.
Guidelines
Open to all Minnesota artists
Must be age 18+
Solo and group shows may apply
Open to both emerging and established artists
All mediums welcome

Resumé with related experience
Representative images (5-10 images)
Checklist to accompany images with the title, date, medium, and dimensions
Link to website or social media account (if applicable)
Details
Transportation of artwork is the sole responsibility of the artist.
The gallery is responsible for installation and deinstallation, unless the artist would like to install their own work.
HCA retains the right to decide which work is included in exhibitions.
Upon acceptance, selected artists grant HCA rights to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the gallery website for promotional purposes only.
Work for exhibition does not have to be for sale. Sale prices are determined by the artist. 70% of sale price goes to the artist, 30% to the HCA. All work must be the property of the artist to be available for sale.
HCA does not provide insurance for artwork though great care will be taken in handling and displaying your work. HCA recommends that artwork be insured by the artist, as the artist bears the full responsibility for loss and damage to art while in transit and on display.

Email all required materials to Molly Rivera at director@hutchinsonarts.org with the subject 2026 Exhibition Proposal.
Written materials must be .DOC or .PDF format and may be in one combined document or separate documents.
Images must be .JPEG format.
Artists selected for an exhibition will be contacted via email after the jurying process.
There is no fee to apply.

Sales Gallery
The Hutchinson Center for the Arts is always seeking new artwork for consignment sales. We have jewelry, pottery, prints, photographs, cards, clothing, textiles, home decor, and more. For more information and to submit your work for consideration, email Molly Rivera director@hutchinsonarts.org.
Visible
This exhibition highlights local artists living with a disability or mental health challenge. This community show is open to all ages living in Southwest Minnesota. One piece may be submitted, all mediums are welcome. More details will be available closer to the exhibition.

2025 Holiday Craft Boutique
Our annual Holiday Craft Boutique features handmade art and goods from local craftspeople. This one-day market will be held December 6th from 10am-4pm. We will open a call for art in the Fall of 2025 for artists and vendors to apply.
2026 Community Showcase
This annual exhibition features the work of local and regional artists and makers from Southwest Minnesota. All mediums are welcome, one piece may be submitted. Ages 18+ may participate. This show runs January 14 - February 20, 2026. Artwork drop off will be early January. Stay tuned for more details.
