Call for Art
HCA features the work of Minnesota artists at all stages of their career, from emerging to established, working in a variety of mediums. The ArtGallery hosts everything from solo exhibitions to large community group shows. Our ArtShop sells a small amount of 2-D and 3-D art made by area artists and expands to fill the gallery and classroom for December gift selling. 2026 Themed Showcase: Pollinator
Art for this exhibition must feature animals that move pollen or seeds—bees, beetles, birds, bats, and more. The show runs May 20-June 26, 2026.
Artwork drop off is SAT 5/9 10am-3pm and WED 5/13 1oam-5pm. Two pieces per artist. Open to artists 18+ residing in the Hutchinson area.
2027 Exhibition Series
HCA will host 8 juried exhibitions in 2027. At least one will feature new, emerging artists in the first decade of their career (whether recently graduated from school or coming to art later in life). Our exhibitions are the front line of our educational efforts providing the public FREE access to quality art. We will give priority to unique or unusual mediums, interesting subject matter, or from artists with inspiring stories to tell.
All exhibits will open the first Friday of the month (JUL & SEP will be 2nd FRI due to holidays) with Artist Reception that night 5:30-7pm. Exhibits will run about 3 weeks. There is no fee to apply nor to exhibit.
