As we usher in the new year, I would like to first and foremost thank each and every person who showed support in 2024 and helped us continue our mission of broadening and deepening the arts experiences for our community. Your generosity ensures valuable arts experiences are available in our region. Whether you donated, attended a class or artist reception, purchased handmade art in the sales gallery, or attended an event presented by one of our Partner Organizations, THANK YOU for playing a role in this important work! 

This month, we're offering a handful of exciting opportunities for you and your family to experience creativity and exploration through the arts. Our Annual Community Showcase opens (psst, it's not too late to submit your art), Youth Art Day resumes, and we're kicking off our new program called Craft Lab. Our Annual Meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 13th at 5:30pm. 

We'll be presenting our Annual Report and Wirt Award, followed by our regular board meeting.

This event is open to the public. Dessert will be provided.

Annual Community Showcase

Featuring the work of artists, creators, and makers residing in Southwest Minnesota. Mediums range from pottery to painting, woodworking to knitting, and everything in between. 

On view Jan 15th - Feb 21st. Open Wed-Fri 10am-5pm & Sat 10am-3pm.

Reception Friday, Jan 17th from 5:30-7pm. Enjoy light refreshments, meet other creatives, and view the work.

Youth Art Day

Jan. 11, 11am-2pm

Enjoy a day of free art making for all ages! This month we will have supplies for acrylic painting. This is a come and go event, no registration required.

This beginner class is all about experiment and play! Try different processes and techniques. Ages 16+.

Empty Bowls Make-a-thon

Jan. 30, 4-6pm

Create and decorate a hand built clay bowl that will be donated to Empty Bowls, a community event that helps alleviate hunger in McLeod County. 

Our Make-a-thon is free for all ages, however registration is required.

Feb 6, 13, 20, & 27 from 6:30-8:30pm

Dive into the world of watercolor in this in-depth class taught by Alexis Ammerman Hogan. Ages 16+.
